Ingredients

  • 500 grams Molokhia leaves
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 large Onion
  • 5 units Garlic cloves
  • 1.5 liters Chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground allspice
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 4 units Lemon wedges
  • 4 servings Cooked rice

Directions

Step 1

Wash and drain the Molokhia leaves thoroughly, then finely chop them and set aside.

Peel and finely chop the onion.

Peel and crush the garlic cloves.

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 5 minutes until it becomes translucent.
