Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Tortilla chips
  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup Black beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 cup Diced tomatoes
  • 0.33 cup Sliced black olives
  • 2 stalks Green onions (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 0.25 cup Pickled jalapeños
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream
  • 1 cup Guacamole

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks (about 7-8 minutes).

Step 3

Drain excess grease from the skillet, then add the taco seasoning and water. Stir well and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the beef is coated and the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.

Step 4

Line a large baking sheet or oven-safe platter with parchment paper. Spread the tortilla chips in an even layer.

Step 5

Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses over the chips.

Step 6

Evenly distribute the seasoned ground beef, black beans, diced tomatoes, and sliced black olives over the chips.

Step 7

Top with the remaining cheese, ensuring it’s spread evenly for optimal melting.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly.

Step 9

Remove from the oven and immediately garnish with green onions, fresh cilantro, and pickled jalapeños.

Step 10

Serve warm with dollops of sour cream and guacamole on top or on the side for dipping.
