Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef
  • 0.5 pounds Ground pork
  • 1 cups Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cups Milk
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 medium Yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1.5 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 cups Ketchup
  • 1 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoons Dijon mustard

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet or loaf pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let the mixture sit for 2-3 minutes to allow the breadcrumbs to soak up the milk.

Step 3

Add the ground beef, ground pork, eggs, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, and parsley (if using) to the breadcrumb mixture. Use clean hands or a large spoon to mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Step 4

Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared baking sheet or loaf pan. Shape it into a loaf form if using a baking sheet.

Step 5

In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of ketchup, the brown sugar, and Dijon mustard to make the glaze. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 6

Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C) when measured with a meat thermometer.

Step 7

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with your favorite sides and enjoy!
