Ingredients

  • 250 grams Paneer
  • 1 cup Green peas
  • 1 large Onion
  • 3 medium Tomatoes
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 1 inch piece Ginger
  • 1 piece Green chili
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Cream
  • 2 tablespoons Cilantro leaves
  • 1 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

Cut the paneer into cubes and keep aside.

Step 2

Chop the onion finely and make a puree of the tomatoes with the garlic, ginger, and green chili.

Step 3

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Step 4

Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.

Step 5

Add the tomato puree to the pan and cook until the oil starts to separate from the mixture.

Step 6

Stir in the turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes to blend the spices well.

Step 7

Add the green peas and water. Cover the pan and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

Step 8

Gently add the paneer cubes to the gravy and mix carefully to avoid breaking the paneer.

Step 9

Add garam masala and cook for another 5 minutes. Ensure the peas and paneer absorb the flavors.

Step 10

Finally, stir in the cream and cook for another 2 minutes until everything is well combined.

Step 11

Garnish with chopped cilantro leaves and serve hot with naan, roti, or rice.
