Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Yellow mustard
  • 0.5 cup HP Sauce or A1 Sauce
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Prepared mustard (for glaze)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, yellow mustard, HP or A1 sauce, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Use your hands or a sturdy spoon to mix the ingredients until they are just combined. Be careful not to overmix to prevent the meatloaf from becoming dense.

Step 4

Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down gently to form an even layer.

Step 5

In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and prepared mustard to make the glaze.

Step 6

Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf using a spatula or the back of a spoon.

Step 7

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 55–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 8

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.

Step 9

Slice and serve warm. Pair with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or your favorite sides for a comforting meal.
