Ingredients

  • 1 whole Baguette or small crusty bread loaf
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 300 grams Cremini or button mushrooms
  • 2 whole Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Heavy cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Slice the baguette into 12 thin slices (about 1 cm thick).

Step 3

Brush both sides of the bread slices with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and arrange them on a baking sheet.

Toast the bread slices in the oven for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden and crisp. Remove and set aside.
