Ingredients

  • 2 pieces chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 pieces garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 8 ounces button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1.5 cups chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 4 cups cooked white rice

Directions

Step 1

Season chicken breasts with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper on both sides.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove chicken and set aside.

In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add 1 tablespoon butter and the remaining olive oil.
