Ingredients

  • 1 pound Carrots
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (unsalted)
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Mrs. Dash Original Seasoning Blend
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley (optional, chopped)

Directions

Step 1

Peel the carrots and slice them into 1/4-inch thick rounds or sticks, depending on your preference.

Step 2

In a medium-sized skillet or saucepan, combine the water and butter. Heat over medium-high heat until the butter has melted and the water begins to simmer.

Step 3

Add the sliced carrots to the skillet and stir to coat them evenly with the butter and water mixture.

Step 4

Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the skillet with a lid, and let the carrots steam for 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.

Step 5

Once the carrots are tender but not mushy (test by piercing with a fork), remove the lid and increase the heat to medium-high.

Step 6

Sprinkle the carrots with Mrs. Dash Original Seasoning Blend, stirring well to evenly coat the carrots.

Step 7

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the liquid has mostly evaporated and the seasoning has adhered to the carrots.

Step 8

Remove from heat and transfer the seasoned carrots to a serving dish.

Step 9

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired, and serve warm.
