Ingredients

  • 170 grams unsalted butter
  • 200 grams semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 200 grams granulated sugar
  • 100 grams brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 125 grams all-purpose flour
  • 30 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons baking powder

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a 9x9-inch (23x23 cm) square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.

In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, add the semi-sweet chocolate chips and stir until smooth and glossy. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

In a separate large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and brown sugar. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition until the mixture is thick and pale in color.
