Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh mint leaves
  • 4 Black tea bags
  • 6 cups Boiling water
  • 0.333 cup Honey
  • 0.5 cup Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 0.5 cup Freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 cups Cold water
  • 2 cups Ice cubes
  • 4 Fresh mint sprigs (for garnish)
  • 4 Orange or lemon slices (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Place 1 cup of fresh mint leaves and 4 black tea bags in a heatproof bowl or pitcher.

Step 2

Pour 6 cups of boiling water over the tea and mint. Let the mixture steep for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Remove the tea bags and strain the liquid to remove the mint leaves. Set aside to cool slightly.

Step 4

Stir 1/3 cup of honey into the warm tea until dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste, if desired.

Add 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed orange juice to the tea. Mix well.
