Ingredients

  • 100 g Butter
  • 70 g Golden Syrup
  • 60 g Light Brown Sugar
  • 200 g Rolled Oats
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 0.25 tsp Salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Line a 9x9 inch (23x23 cm) square baking tin with parchment paper or lightly grease it with butter.

In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter over low heat, stirring occasionally until completely melted.

Add the golden syrup and light brown sugar to the melted butter. Stir the mixture until the sugar fully dissolves.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.

Add the rolled oats to the saucepan and mix thoroughly until the oats are evenly coated with the syrup mixture.

Spread the oat mixture evenly into the prepared baking tin, pressing down firmly with the back of a spoon to ensure a compact and even layer.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
