Ingredients

  • 15 ounces Kidney beans (canned, drained and rinsed)
  • 15 ounces Black beans (canned, drained and rinsed)
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • 1 cup Low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika (sweet)
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • None Optional toppings (shredded cheese, sour cream, diced green onions, or tortilla chips)

Directions

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until fully browned. Drain any excess fat and transfer the beef to the crock pot.
