Ingredients

  • 5 pieces large flour tortillas
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces diced green chilies (canned)
  • 0.5 cup black beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 0.5 cup diced bell pepper
  • 0.25 cup sliced green onions
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 0.5 cup salsa (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and sour cream. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Step 2

Add the shredded cheddar cheese, diced green chilies, black beans, diced bell pepper, green onions, chopped cilantro, and taco seasoning to the bowl. Mix until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Step 3

Lay one flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a thin, even layer of the filling mixture over the tortilla, leaving about 1/2 inch of space around the edges.

Step 4

Carefully roll the tortilla tightly into a log shape. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.

Step 5

Wrap each rolled tortilla in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.

Step 6

After chilling, remove the plastic wrap and slice each tortilla roll into 1-inch slices to create spirals.

Step 7

Arrange the Mexican Spirals on a serving platter and serve with salsa on the side, if desired.
