Ingredients

  • 16 oz refried beans
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1.5 cups monterey jack cheese, shredded
  • 3 stalks green onions, sliced
  • 0.5 cup black olives, sliced
  • 2 tbsp jalapeños, diced (optional)
  • 1 bag tortilla chips

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) if you prefer your dip served warm.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, mix the refried beans and 1/2 packet of taco seasoning until well blended. Spread the mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9x9-inch baking dish or serving dish.

Step 3

In another bowl, whisk together the sour cream, cream cheese, and the remaining 1/2 packet of taco seasoning until smooth and creamy. Spread this mixture over the bean layer.

Step 4

Top the cream cheese layer with an even coating of salsa, spreading it gently to cover.

Step 5

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and monterey jack cheese evenly over the salsa layer.

Step 6

Add the sliced green onions, black olives, and diced jalapeños (if using) as toppings.

Step 7

If serving warm, bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. If serving cold, refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 8

Serve the dip with tortilla chips on the side and enjoy!
