  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4 cups Chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped Fresh cilantro
  • 1 cut into wedges Lime

Rinse and sort the pinto beans, removing any debris or damaged beans.

Place the beans in a bowl and cover with water. Soak them overnight, or for at least 8 hours. Drain and rinse before cooking.
