Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp Paprika
  • 0.25 cup Chipotle mayo
  • 0.25 cup Guacamole
  • 4 pieces Burger buns
  • 4 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 4 pieces Tomato slices
  • 12 pieces Pickled jalapeño slices
  • 4 pieces Cheddar cheese slices
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 4 pieces Red onion slices

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties about 1/2 inch thick. Press a slight indentation into the center of each patty to prevent swelling during cooking.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Brush it lightly with vegetable oil.

Step 4

Cook the patties on the skillet or grill for 3-4 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt.

Step 5

Lightly toast the burger buns on the same skillet or grill for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until golden brown.

Step 6

Spread a generous layer of chipotle mayo on the bottom bun. Top with a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, and a red onion slice.

Step 7

Place the cooked burger patty with melted cheddar cheese on top of the vegetables.

Step 8

Add three pickled jalapeño slices to each burger, followed by a spoonful of guacamole.

Step 9

Spread a thin layer of chipotle mayo on the top bun and place it on the burger to finish assembling.

Step 10

Serve immediately with your favorite side dish, like fries or a salad, and enjoy your Mexi Whopper Burger!
