  • 200 grams pork liver (cut into small cubes)

  • 2 medium carrots (peeled and diced)
  • 1 large red bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 large green bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons calamansi juice (or lemon juice)
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a bowl, marinate the pork shoulder cubes with soy sauce and calamansi juice for 20 minutes. Set aside.

Step 2

Heat cooking oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté the garlic until golden and fragrant, then add the chopped onion and cook until softened.

Add the marinated pork (reserve the marinade) and cook for 5-7 minutes until the meat is browned on all sides.
