Ingredients

  • 500 g Ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)
  • 50 g Breadcrumbs
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 small Yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Paprika
  • 2 tbsp Cooking oil (e.g., vegetable or canola oil)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, and fresh parsley.

Step 2

Add the Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and paprika to the mixture. Use your hands to mix everything thoroughly until all the ingredients are well incorporated, but avoid overmixing to keep the patties tender.

Step 3

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty about 2 cm (3/4 inch) thick, ensuring they are evenly shaped for even cooking.

Step 4

Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add the cooking oil. Make sure the pan is properly heated before adding the patties.

Step 5

Place the beef patties in the pan, leaving space between each one. Cook for 4-5 minutes on the first side without moving them to allow a crust to form.

Step 6

Flip the patties gently using a spatula. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes on the second side, or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F) for well-done patties. For medium, aim for 65°C (150°F).

Step 7

Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes to retain their juices.

Step 8

Serve the patties immediately as is, or use them to build incredible burgers with your favorite buns and toppings.
