Get into the Halloween spirit with these spooktacular Mc Mummy's Burgers, a creative twist on classic cheeseburgers that's both fun and delicious. Perfect for a family-friendly meal or themed gathering, these burgers feature juicy, seasoned ground beef patties adorned with melted cheddar cheese and “wrapped” in golden, flaky crescent roll dough to resemble a mummy’s bandages. Playful black olive “eyes” complete the ghoulish look, making them a guaranteed hit with kids and adults alike. With a quick prep time of just 15 minutes and a tangy condiment spread made from ketchup, mayo, and mustard, these burgers are frightfully fast and flavorful. Whether served with crispy fries, a fresh salad, or pickles, Mc Mummy's Burgers are the ultimate Halloween treat that doesn’t skimp on taste or creativity.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty about 1/2-inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent puffing up during cooking.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned but not fully cooked through (they will finish cooking in the oven). Transfer the patties to the prepared baking sheet.
Lay a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty.
Open the can of crescent roll dough and separate it into strips. Using a sharp knife or kitchen scissors, cut the strips into thinner bands, about 1/2 inch wide.
Wrap the crescent dough strips around each burger patty in a crisscross pattern, leaving small gaps to give the appearance of mummy bandages. Be sure to leave space for the “eyes” at the top of the patty.
Bake the wrapped patties in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.
While the burgers are baking, make the condiment spread by mixing ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard in a small bowl.
Remove the burgers from the oven and let cool slightly. Cut the black olives in half to create the “eyes” and place two halves at the top of each patty.
Serve the Mc Mummy’s Burgers with the condiment spread, pickle slices, and your favorite side, such as fries or a salad.
