Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Chicken wings
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 large Ripe mango
  • 2 small Habanero peppers
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Lime juice
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place an oven-safe wire rack on top of the baking sheet and lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil.

Step 2

Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large mixing bowl, toss the wings with baking powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until they are evenly coated.

Step 3

Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared wire rack, making sure there is space between each wing. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then flip the wings and bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown.

Step 4

While the wings are baking, prepare the mango habanero sauce. Peel the mango, remove the pit, and cut the flesh into chunks. Blend the mango with the habanero peppers, honey, lime juice, soy sauce, and a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a blender or food processor until smooth.

Step 5

Pour the blended mango mixture into a small saucepan. Add the butter and heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter has melted and the sauce has thickened slightly, about 5-7 minutes. Adjust seasoning with additional honey or lime juice if necessary.

Step 6

Once the wings are fully cooked and crispy, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the warm mango habanero sauce over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.

Step 7

Serve the wings immediately with your favorite dipping sauces and celery or carrot sticks on the side. Enjoy!
