Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 pieces Hamburger buns
  • 4 slices Cheese slices (optional, cheddar or American)
  • 4 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices Tomato slices
  • 8 slices Pickle slices
  • 4 tablespoons Ketchup
  • 4 teaspoons Mustard
  • 4 tablespoons Mayonnaise

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently with your hands until the spices are evenly distributed, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Step 2

Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions, approximately 8 ounces each. Shape each portion into a round patty about ¾-inch thick. Use your thumb to create a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.

Step 3

Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle to medium-high heat. Lightly grease the surface with a dab of oil or a quick spray of non-stick cooking spray.

Step 4

Place the patties on the grill or griddle. Cook for 4-5 minutes on the first side without pressing down on the patties. Flip them carefully and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes on the second side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F for medium doneness. Add a slice of cheese on top during the last minute, if desired, to melt.

Step 5

While the patties are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Step 6

Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cooked patty on top, followed by a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, and two pickle slices. Spread ketchup and mustard on the top half of the bun before closing the burger.

Step 7

Serve the burgers hot with your favorite side dishes, such as fries or a crisp salad. Enjoy your hearty, delicious half-pound Man Burgers!
