Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground lamb
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 0.5 medium red onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 pieces brioche buns
  • 4 leaves lettuce leaves
  • 1 large tomato
  • 0.5 cup tzatziki sauce

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine 500 grams of ground lamb with 1 teaspoon of ground cumin, 1 teaspoon of ground coriander, 1 teaspoon of paprika, and 2 minced garlic cloves.

Step 2

Finely chop half of a medium red onion and add it to the lamb mixture. Season with 1 teaspoon of salt and 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper.

Step 3

Chop 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley and add to the mixture. Mix until all ingredients are well combined, but do not overwork the meat.

Step 4

Divide the lamb mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties, making a slight indentation in the middle of each patty for even cooking.

Step 5

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 6

While the patties are cooking, slice the large tomato into four equal slices and prepare the brioche buns by slicing them open and lightly toasting the cut sides in a separate pan or toaster.

Step 7

Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a cooked lamb patty, a slice of tomato, and a dollop of tzatziki sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.

Step 8

Serve immediately and enjoy your flavorful lamb burgers!
