Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 8 pieces cheddar cheese slices
  • 8 pieces slider buns
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 leaves lettuce
  • 1 large tomato
  • 8 pieces pickle slices
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 tablespoons mustard

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat to keep it tender.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into small patties, slightly larger than the diameter of your slider buns as they will shrink while cooking.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.

Step 4

Once the oil is shimmering, place the patties in the skillet, leaving room for them to spread slightly. Cook the patties for about 3 minutes on the first side, until a deep brown crust forms.

Step 5

Flip the patties and immediately place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Continue to cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked through.

Step 6

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato into 8 thin slices and prepare the buns.

Step 7

Lightly toast the halves of the slider buns in the oven or on a dry skillet for about 2 minutes, until golden brown.

Step 8

To assemble the sliders, spread a small amount of ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard on the bottom half of each bun.

Step 9

Lay a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, and a beef patty with melted cheese on top.

Step 10

Add a few pickle slices to each slider and then top with the other bun half.

Step 11

Serve the sliders immediately while warm, with any additional condiments or sides as desired.
