  • 250 grams Ground pork
  • 1 medium, finely chopped Onion

  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 3 tablespoons Ketchup (for sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (for sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, finely chopped onion, panko breadcrumbs, milk, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly with your hands until well combined.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a round patty about 1.5 cm thick. Make a shallow indentation in the center of each patty to ensure even cooking.

Step 3

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place the hamburger patties in the skillet. Cook for about 3–4 minutes on one side without moving them to allow a nice sear to form.

Flip the patties and add the water to the skillet. Cover with a lid and let the patties steam for an additional 10–12 minutes or until fully cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F). Remove the patties and set them aside on a plate.
