Ingredients

  • 170 grams Unsalted butter (softened)
  • 100 grams Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 250 grams All-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 120 grams Jam (any flavor)
  • 30 grams Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until the dough comes together. Do not overmix.

Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out to about 6mm (1/4 inch) thickness.
