  • 3 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1 cup Sundried tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons Capers
  • 0.5 teaspoons Garlic powder
  • 0.25 cup Fresh basil leaves
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 4 slices Crusty Italian bread or ciabatta
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven's broiler on high or set your toaster oven to broil.

Step 2

Drain the canned tuna and place it in a medium-sized mixing bowl.

Step 3

Finely chop the sundried tomatoes and basil leaves, then add them to the bowl with the tuna.

Step 4

Stir in the mayonnaise, capers, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Step 5

Lightly brush both sides of the bread slices with olive oil and toast them under the broiler until they are golden brown on one side. Flip and lightly toast the other side.

Evenly distribute the tuna mixture across the toasted slices of bread, spreading it to cover the surface.
