Ingredients

  • 2 sheets Puff pastry sheets (thawed)
  • 200 grams Sliced deli salami
  • 200 grams Sliced provolone cheese
  • 120 grams Fresh baby spinach (washed and dried)
  • 80 grams Sun-dried tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 50 grams Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian seasoning

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash. Set aside.

Step 3

On a clean, lightly floured surface, roll out one puff pastry sheet to ensure it’s smooth and even.

Step 4

Spread an even layer of salami slices across the puff pastry sheet, leaving about a 1-inch border on one side for sealing.

Step 5

Layer the salami with provolone cheese slices, followed by a layer of baby spinach leaves.

Step 6

Sprinkle chopped sun-dried tomatoes and grated Parmesan cheese over the spinach.

Step 7

Starting from the edge opposite the 1-inch border, gently roll the puff pastry into a tight log. Use the egg wash along the border to seal the roll.

Step 8

Repeat the layering and rolling process with the second puff pastry sheet.

Step 9

Using a sharp knife, cut each roll into 1/2-inch thick slices to form pinwheels.

Step 10

Place the pinwheels onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.

Step 11

Lightly brush the tops of the pinwheels with the remaining egg wash and sprinkle with dried Italian seasoning.

Step 12

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pinwheels are puffed and golden brown.

Step 13

Remove from the oven and let the pinwheels cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 14

Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
