Ingredients

  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons evaporated milk
  • 7 ounces marshmallow creme
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 14 ounces caramel candies
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 cup salted peanuts
  • 12 ounces milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1

Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides for easy removal.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Stir in the granulated sugar and evaporated milk until dissolved and well combined.

Step 3

Remove from heat and quickly stir in the marshmallow creme, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until smooth. Pour this nougat layer into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Allow it to set in the fridge for 10 minutes.

Step 4

In another saucepan, melt the caramel candies with heavy cream over low heat, stirring frequently until fully melted. Carefully pour the caramel over the nougat layer and spread evenly.

Step 5

Sprinkle the salted peanuts over the caramel layer, pressing lightly to adhere them. Return the pan to the fridge and chill for about 20 minutes to firm up.

Step 6

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the milk chocolate chips and vegetable oil in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth.

Step 7

Pour the melted chocolate evenly over the peanut caramel layer. Spread it out smoothly with a spatula and tap the pan gently on the counter to release air bubbles.

Step 8

Chill the entire pan in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until fully set.

Step 9

Using the parchment overhang, lift the block of candy out of the pan. Slice into 12 evenly sized bars using a sharp knife.

Step 10

Store the bars in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week or freeze for up to three months. Serve chilled or at room temperature and enjoy!
