Ingredients

  • 2 packs Indomie Instant Noodles (Rendang Flavor)
  • 300 grams Beef sirloin or chuck, cut into small cubes
  • 200 ml Coconut milk
  • 3 tablespoons Rendang curry paste
  • 3 medium Shallots, finely sliced
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Coriander leaves, for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Red chili slices, for garnish (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Start by preparing the rendang beef. Heat the cooking oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the sliced shallots, minced garlic, and grated ginger into the pan. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they become fragrant and the shallots are translucent.

Step 3

Add the beef cubes to the pan and cook until they are browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 4

Once the beef is browned, add the rendang curry paste and stir to coat the beef evenly. Cook for another 3 minutes.

Step 5

Pour in the coconut milk and bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer slowly, stirring occasionally, for about 40-45 minutes until the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened.

Step 6

Season the rendang with salt and sugar to taste. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Step 7

While the rendang is cooking, prepare the Indomie noodles as per the instructions on the package. Typically, this involves boiling the noodles for 3 minutes, draining them, and mixing them with the seasoning powder and oil provided in the pack.

Step 8

Once the rendang is done, combine it with the prepared Indomie noodles. Toss well to ensure the noodles are well coated with the rendang sauce.

Step 9

Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and red chili slices, if desired.

Step 10

Serve the Indomie rendang hot and enjoy your meal with its rich and satisfying flavors.
