Ingredients

  • 2 teabags Black tea (or your preferred tea)
  • 500 ml Boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons Honey (or simple syrup)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 6 leaves Fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup Ice cubes
  • 1 slice Lemon slice (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 sprig Fresh mint sprig (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

1. Begin by brewing the tea: Place the tea bags in a heatproof jug or teapot and pour the boiling water over them.

Step 2

2. Let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on the desired strength, then remove the tea bags.

Step 3

3. Stir in the honey (or simple syrup) while the tea is still hot so it dissolves fully. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature and then refrigerate for 15-20 minutes until chilled.

Step 4

4. Once the tea has chilled, add the fresh lemon juice and lightly muddle 4 mint leaves in the tea to release their flavor. Strain the tea if desired to remove mint bits.

Step 5

5. Fill two martini or serving glasses with ice cubes, then pour the chilled, flavored tea over the ice.

Step 6

6. Garnish with the remaining mint leaves, the lemon slice, and a fresh mint sprig, if using.

Step 7

7. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Iced Teani!
