Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 pieces black tea bags
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup lime juice
  • 1 piece lime
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 5 leaves fresh mint leaves (optional for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium-sized saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add 2 black tea bags. Let them steep for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Remove the tea bags and stir in 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Mix until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature for about 10 minutes.

Add 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice to the cooled tea and stir well.

Slice the lime into thin rounds for garnish and set aside.
