Ingredients

  • 250 ml water
  • 2 pieces black tea bags
  • 0.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 3 pods cardamom pods
  • 3 pieces cloves
  • 3 pieces whole black peppercorns
  • 0.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar
  • 120 ml milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Directions

Step 1

In a small saucepan, bring the 250 ml of water to a boil.

Step 2

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and add the black tea bags, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, cardamom pods, cloves, and black peppercorns to the pot.

Step 3

Simmer the mixture for 5 minutes to allow the spices to infuse.

Step 4

Remove the pan from heat and let the tea steep for an additional 5 minutes for a stronger flavor.

Strain the tea into a bowl or another container to remove the spices and tea bags.

Stir in the vanilla extract and honey (or sugar) until dissolved.
