Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 16 ounces cream cheese
  • 10 ounces Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies (drained)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 bag/loaf tortilla chips or crusty bread (for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Place a large skillet or sauté pan over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the ground beef and ground sausage to the skillet. Break up the meat with a wooden spoon and cook until browned and fully cooked through. Drain excess grease if necessary.

Step 3

Reduce the heat to low and add the cream cheese to the skillet, stirring until fully melted and combined with the meat.

Step 4

Stir in the drained Rotel tomatoes and green chilies, shredded cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated.

Step 5

Continue to cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is fully heated through and the cheese is melted and creamy (about 5 minutes).

Step 6

Transfer the hot meat dip to a serving dish, a slow cooker (set to 'low' to keep warm), or serve directly from the skillet.

Step 7

Serve the dip warm with tortilla chips or crusty bread for dipping. Enjoy!
