Ingredients

  • 8 pieces Refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon Rum extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Milk (for glaze)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds or until fully melted.

Step 3

Stir in the brown sugar, rum extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined. Set the buttered rum mixture aside.

Step 4

Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and separate it into 8 triangles.

Step 5

Brush each triangle with the buttered rum mixture, covering the surface evenly but reserving some of the mixture for brushing the tops later.

Step 6

Roll up each triangle, starting at the wide end and rolling toward the tip, to form crescent shapes. Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, with the tip tucked underneath to hold their shape during baking.

Step 7

Lightly brush the tops of the rolled crescents with the remaining buttered rum mixture.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and puffed.

Step 9

While the crescents bake, mix the powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl to form a smooth glaze.

Step 10

Once baked, remove the crescents from the oven and allow them to cool for 5 minutes. Drizzle the glaze over the tops of the warm crescents and serve immediately.
