Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1.5 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, bread crumbs, and milk. Mix until just combined.

Step 3

Add the prepared horseradish, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, kosher salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Gently mix the ingredients together until evenly incorporated, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Step 4

Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared loaf pan. Smooth out the top to create an even surface.

Step 5

In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard to create the glaze.

Step 6

Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 7

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 8

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Step 9

Serve hot with sides such as mashed potatoes, green beans, or a fresh salad. Enjoy!
