Ingredients

  • 1 Egg yolk (optional, for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon Water (optional, for egg wash)

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the warm water, milk, and honey. Stir to dissolve the honey.

Sprinkle the active dry yeast over the liquid mixture and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

Add the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
