Ingredients

  • 500 grams Chicken breast
  • 3 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili flakes
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 stalks Green onions
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized cubes, and season them with salt and black pepper.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg and add 3 tablespoons of cornstarch. Coat the chicken pieces in this batter.

Step 3

Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium heat. Fry the chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and crispy. Remove and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Chop the garlic finely and mince the ginger. Slice the green onions and separate the white parts from the green parts.
