Ingredients

  • 60 grams All-purpose flour
  • 80 grams Granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 large Egg whites
  • 60 grams Unsalted butter (melted)
  • 60 ml Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt until the dry ingredients are well combined.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until they are slightly frothy, then add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until fully combined.

Step 3

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until the batter is smooth and free of lumps. The batter should have a slightly runny consistency.

Step 4

Preheat a non-stick skillet or waffle cone maker over medium heat. If using a skillet, lightly grease it with butter or oil.

Step 5

Spoon about 2 tablespoons of batter onto the skillet or waffle cone maker and spread it into a thin, even circle around 5-6 inches in diameter. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the edges turn golden brown and the surface starts to set.

Step 6

Carefully flip the disc (if using a skillet) and cook for an additional 30-60 seconds until fully cooked and pliable.

Step 7

Quickly remove the cooked disc and shape it into a cone by wrapping it around a cone mold or shaping it by hand. Pinch the bottom to seal the tip. Hold it in shape for a few seconds until it firms up.

Step 8

Repeat with the remaining batter. Allow the cones to cool completely on a wire rack to crisp up.

Step 9

Once cooled, fill the cones with your favorite ice cream and enjoy!
