Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds Ground beef
  • 4 medium Russet potatoes
  • 4 medium Carrots
  • 1 large Yellow onion
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 4 sheets Aluminum foil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your grill to medium heat or set your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Peel and slice the potatoes into 1/4-inch rounds. Set aside.

Step 3

Peel and slice the carrots into thin sticks, about 2 inches long. Set aside.

Step 4

Slice the onion into thin rings or slices. Set aside.

Step 5

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Step 6

Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each one into a burger patty. Set aside.

Step 7

Lay out 4 large sheets of aluminum foil, one for each serving. Drizzle 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil on each sheet to prevent sticking.

Step 8

On each sheet of foil, layer a handful of potato slices, a portion of carrot sticks, and a portion of onion slices. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper over the vegetables.

Step 9

Place a burger patty on top of the vegetables on each foil sheet, then place 1 tablespoon of butter on top of each patty.

Step 10

Fold the foil over the ingredients, crimping the edges tightly to seal the packets. Ensure there are no holes to prevent juices from leaking.

Step 11

Place the foil packets on the preheated grill or on a baking sheet in the oven. Cook for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway if using a grill, until the meat is fully cooked (internal temperature of 160°F or 71°C) and the vegetables are tender.

Step 12

Carefully open the foil packets, being cautious of hot steam. Serve directly in the foil or transfer to plates. Enjoy!
