Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 2 medium Potatoes
  • 2 medium Carrots
  • 1 small Onion
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • 4 sheets Heavy-duty aluminum foil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or get your grill heated to medium-high.

Step 2

Wash and peel the potatoes and carrots. Cut the potatoes into thin rounds and slice the carrots into sticks or rounds. Finely chop the onion.

Step 3

In a large bowl, combine the potatoes, carrots, onion, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything until the vegetables are evenly coated.

Step 4

Divide the mixture evenly among the four sheets of aluminum foil, placing the veggies in the center of each sheet.

Step 5

Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty. Place one patty on top of each pile of vegetables.

Step 6

Fold the sides of the foil packets up and over the ingredients, sealing each packet tightly to prevent steam from escaping.

Step 7

Place the foil packets on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 30 minutes, or grill for 25–30 minutes, flipping once halfway through cooking. Ensure the beef is fully cooked (internal temperature of 160°F/71°C) and the vegetables are tender.

Step 8

Carefully open the packets to avoid steam burns. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired before serving.

Step 9

Serve the packets directly from the foil for easy cleanup or transfer to plates for a more formal presentation.
