Ingredients

  • 500 g Lean chicken breast
  • 200 g Chickpeas, canned and drained
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • 2 small Green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 0.5 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Oil, for grilling
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

In a food processor, add chicken breast and pulse until coarsely ground.

Step 2

Add chickpeas, onion, garlic, ginger, coriander leaves, mint leaves, and green chilies to the food processor. Process until the mixture is smooth.

Step 3

Mix in garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, beaten egg, and salt into the chicken mixture until well combined.

Step 4

Refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes to help it firm up.

Step 5

Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly brush it with oil.

Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and roll each portion around a skewer, pressing tightly to form a sausage shape.
