  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4 Whole wheat burger buns
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 4 Lettuce leaves
  • 1 large Tomato
  • 0.5 Red onion
  • 4 Cheddar cheese slices

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground pork, egg, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.

Step 2

Mix the ingredients thoroughly but gently using your hands or a spatula until well combined.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 1 inch thick.

Step 4

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 5

Once the oil is hot, add the pork patties to the skillet.

Step 6

Cook each patty for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and they are nicely browned.

Step 7

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato and red onion.

Step 8

If using cheese, place one slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt slightly.

Step 9

Toast the whole wheat burger buns slightly if desired.

Step 10

Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a pork patty, tomato slice, onion slice, and then top with the other bun half.

Step 11

Serve the burgers hot immediately, optionally with your choice of condiments and sides.
