Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground chicken
  • 1 large Egg
  • 50 grams Oatmeal
  • 1 small, finely chopped Onion
  • 2 cloves, minced Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped Fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 12 Mini burger buns
  • 6 leaves, halved Lettuce
  • 1 large, sliced Tomato
  • 6 mini or cut to size Cheese slices

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, egg, oatmeal, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Mix well with your hands or a spoon until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and shape them into small patties about 2 to 3 inches in diameter.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.

Step 4

Once the oil is hot, add the chicken patties to the skillet, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. You may need to cook them in batches.

Step 5

Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).

Step 6

Remove the cooked patties from the skillet and let them rest on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

Step 7

To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato on the bottom half of each mini burger bun.

Step 8

Place a chicken patty on top of the tomato, followed by a cheese slice.

Step 9

Cover with the top half of the bun.

Step 10

Serve immediately, and enjoy your high protein mini chicken burgers!
