Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground beef (85% lean)
  • 250 grams Ground chicken
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 50 grams Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 60 grams Panko breadcrumbs
  • 60 ml Milk
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 15 grams Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 60 ml Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground chicken, eggs, and grated Parmesan cheese.

Step 2

In a separate small bowl, soak the panko breadcrumbs in milk for about 5 minutes. This will ensure the meatballs stay tender and juicy.

Step 3

Add the soaked breadcrumbs to the meat mixture along with the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.

Step 4

Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, and dried oregano, then mix thoroughly using your hands or a wooden spoon until all ingredients are well combined.

Step 5

Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, rolling them between your palms until smooth. You should have approximately 16-20 meatballs.

Step 6

Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat.

Step 7

Once the oil is hot, add the meatballs in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.

Step 8

Fry the meatballs, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown on all sides and cooked through, about 10 minutes per batch.

Step 9

Remove the meatballs from the pan and drain excess oil on a plate lined with paper towels.

Step 10

Serve the meatballs hot, either on their own, with pasta, or as part of a sandwich.
