Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef or lamb
  • 30 grams whey protein powder
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, finely minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 pieces whole wheat flatbreads
  • 100 grams Greek yogurt
  • 0.5 medium lemon, juiced
  • 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 4 pieces lettuce leaves

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or lamb with whey protein powder, minced bell pepper, diced onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley.

Step 2

Mix the ingredients thoroughly until evenly combined. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions, then shape each portion into a long, thin sausage-like kebab about 6 inches long.

Step 3

Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil.

Step 4

Place the kebabs on the hot grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and nicely charred on the outside.

Step 5

While the kebabs are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing Greek yogurt with lemon juice in a small bowl. Set aside.

Step 6

Warm the whole wheat flatbreads on the grill for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until soft and pliable.

Step 7

Assemble the wraps by spreading a generous spoonful of the yogurt sauce over each flatbread.

Step 8

Place one or two grilled kebabs in the center of each flatbread, then top with cucumber slices, tomato slices, and a lettuce leaf.

Step 9

Fold the flatbread neatly over the kebabs and fillings to create a wrap. Serve immediately with extra yogurt sauce on the side if desired.
