Ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets
  • 4 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, chopped dill, chopped parsley, minced garlic, and lemon zest. Mix well until smooth and evenly combined.

Step 3

Using a sharp knife, carefully make a horizontal slit in the thickest part of each salmon fillet to create a pocket for stuffing. Be sure not to cut all the way through.

Step 4

Season each salmon fillet inside and outside with salt, black pepper, and paprika.

Step 5

Stuff each salmon pocket with about 1 tablespoon of the herbed cream cheese mixture. Press the edges of the salmon gently to seal the stuffing inside.

Step 6

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Sear the salmon fillets skin-side up for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook skin-side down for another 2 minutes.

Step 7

Transfer the skillet with the salmon to the preheated oven (or transfer the fillets to the prepared baking sheet if not using an oven-safe skillet). Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flaky.

Step 8

Remove from the oven and let the salmon rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Step 9

Serve warm with a side of steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
