Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry sheets
  • 250 grams frozen chopped spinach
  • 150 grams cream cheese
  • 50 grams parmesan cheese
  • 100 grams shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoons butter, melted (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Thaw the puff pastry sheets according to the package instructions and lay them flat on a lightly floured surface.

Step 3

Defrost the frozen chopped spinach by microwaving it for 2–3 minutes, or until completely thawed. Squeeze out all excess water using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.

Step 4

In a mixing bowl, combine the thawed and drained spinach, cream cheese, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated and smooth.

Lightly beat the egg in a small bowl and set aside.

Spread the spinach mixture evenly over the puff pastry sheets, leaving a 1-inch border along one edge of each sheet.
