Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar, packed
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 1.5 cups Heath Bar pieces (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar (optional for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan or a round cake pan.

Step 2

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.

Step 3

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the sour cream. Start and end with the dry ingredients, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.

Step 6

In a small bowl, mix the chopped Heath Bar pieces with the ground cinnamon.

Step 7

Spread half of the cake batter evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle half of the Heath Bar and cinnamon mixture over the batter.

Step 8

Spread the remaining cake batter over the Heath Bar layer and top with the remaining Heath Bar-cinnamon mixture.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.

Step 10

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 11

If desired, lightly dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar before serving.
