Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Fresh abalone
  • 6 cups Chicken broth
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch piece Ginger
  • 1 large Carrot
  • 6 pieces Shiitake mushrooms
  • 3 stalks Green onions
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Cold water

Directions

Step 1

Clean the abalone by scrubbing the shells under cold running water. Remove and discard the guts, then slice the abalone meat into thin strips.

Step 2

Chop the garlic cloves and ginger finely. Peel and slice the carrot into thin rounds. Clean and slice the shiitake mushrooms and chop the green onions.

In a large pot, add the chicken broth and 2 cups of water, and bring to a boil.
