Ingredients

  • 1 package Gluten-free pizza crust mix
  • 0.75 cup Warm water
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 large Egg whites
  • 0.5 cup Low-sodium tomato sauce
  • 1 cup Fresh spinach
  • 1 large Red bell pepper
  • 0.5 cup Sliced mushrooms
  • 0.25 cup Red onion
  • 0.5 cup Cherry tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup Part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 5 large Fresh basil leaves
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.125 teaspoon Salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the gluten-free pizza crust mix with warm water, olive oil, and egg whites. Stir until a soft dough forms.

Step 3

Let the dough rest for 5 minutes to thicken.

Step 4

On a sheet of parchment paper, roll out the dough to desired thickness, approximately 12 inches in diameter, and transfer to a baking sheet.

Step 5

Bake the crust for about 10 minutes, until slightly golden.

Step 6

While the crust is prebaking, prepare the toppings: thinly slice the red bell pepper and red onion, halve the cherry tomatoes, and wash and dry the fresh spinach.

Step 7

Remove the crust from the oven. Spread the low-sodium tomato sauce evenly over the prebaked crust.

Step 8

Arrange the spinach, red bell pepper, mushrooms, red onion, and cherry tomatoes evenly on top of the sauce.

Step 9

Sprinkle with part-skim mozzarella cheese and season with dried oregano, black pepper, and a pinch of salt.

Step 10

Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are golden brown.

Step 11

Garnish with torn fresh basil leaves after removing from the oven.

Step 12

Cut into slices and serve immediately, enjoying your heart-healthy gluten-free pizza!
